OIC PRESIDENT ARTHUR IBAÑEZ HIGHLIGHTS IMPORTANCE OF RDE DURING 44TH IN HOUSE REVIEW

Cagayan State university conducted its 44th University In-House Review at the Claude Andrews convention center yesterday, October 22, 2024, attended by professors from the campuses. with the theme “Innovating Sustainable Futures Through Impactful Research Development and Extension to Accelerate SDG Solutions.”, This in-house review aims to explore various research proposals with innovative approaches focused on addressing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

OIC University President, Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of RDE in the in-house review, “The focus of every institution, not only in the Philippines, but in the world, is now on Sustainable Goals Development. Our goal here in the region is food security, every activity should comply with the goals of SDGs to have a more suitable environment for everyone and for the future”, he said.

The event is divided into four sessions; Experimental Category, Technological Category, Social Category, and Development /Extension Category, all of which are dedicated in the presentation and discussion of respective solutions and innovations of research and projects that align with SDGs.

The categories under the researches and projects in the review shall be evaluated by partner agencies from the; DOST-PSTO, DA-RF 02, DTI 02, DICT 02, SPUP, CNHS, and DOST-PCAARD. The review is dedicated to enhance the role of CSU in its contribution to the efforts in achieving SDGs and ensure that CSU meets it sustainability targets and responsibilities.
