Cagayan State University (CSU) has officially started its journey toward institutional accreditation for its Andrews and Carig campuses.
Today, January 13, 2024, accreditors from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), led by Dr. Milabel E. Ho, arrived at the Claude Andrews Convention Center to begin the evaluation process.
The event opened with a warm welcome from Andrews Campus CEO Atty. Carla Marie Sumigad. Dr. Mariden Cauilan, CSU’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, highlighted the university’s commitment to continuously improving its teaching, research, and extension services.
CSU OIC President, Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, expressed his gratitude to AACCUP, saying, “As we gather today with renewed determination, we believe that this institutional Accreditation transcends mere evaluation, embodies our unwavering commitment to quality, development, and innovation in higher education.”
During the opening, the president’s report for CSU’s performance from 2020-2024 was also exhibited through an audio visual presentation.
Over the next four days, the team of expert accreditors will assess various aspects of the university, including governance, teaching, faculty, research, student support, and infrastructure, ensuring CSU meets national and international standards.
Led by Dr. Milabel E. Ho, the AACCUP team is composed of expert accreditors, including Dr. Anthony M. Penaso as Team Leader, with Lead Accreditors Dr. Sanjay P. Claudio, Dr. Charisma S. Utatulum, Dr. Edgardo E. Tulin, Dr. Jean N. Guillasper, Dr. Liza M. Tamargo, Dr. Cecilio T. Manarpac and Dr. Maria Glenda O. De Lara.
