CSU HIGHLIGHTS 2025 TARGETS IN TWO-DAY CASCADING EVENT

Following the Office Performance Commitment Review (OPCR) of the university’s Vice Presidents held last January 10, the Cagayan State University (CSU) – University Planning Office conducted a two-day cascading of the 2025 targets at Mines View Park Hotel, Baguio City, from January 23 to 24, 2024.

Board of Regents member and NEDA Regional Director Dir. Dionisio C. Ledres Jr. and University Consultant and former CSU President Dr. Urdujah G. Alvarado delivered lectures on cascading strategies, mechanics aligned with the university’s mandate and policies, the Philippine Development Plan framework, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

OIC President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez emphasized focusing on high-impact projects and shared leadership principles inspired by Justin Wright’s 11 Laws of Effective Leadership. He stated, "I always adhere to these ideals to improve this administration beyond its previous best."

Dr. Ibañez also presented CSU’s milestones and 2025 targets, including higher levels in QS Stars, Times Higher Education Rankings, UI GreenMetrics, International Organization for Standardization, SUC leveling, Philippine Quality Award, Institutional Accreditation, PRIME-HRM, and transforming CSU into a Smart Campus with advanced network infrastructure and smart learning environments, among others.

Vice Presidents Dr. Mariden V. Cauilan (VPAA), Dr. Junel B. Guzman (VPRDE), Dr. Theresa B. Dimalanta (VPAF), and Dr. Ana Marie C. Cauilan (VPIPRM) shared their OPCR reports under various strategic priorities, while Ms. Monaliza V. Guzman presented the campus income report for 2024 and income targets for 2025.

A panel of evaluators, including Dir. Ledres, Dr. Alvarado, Fr. Ranhilio C. Aquino (via Zoom), and Dr. Florentina S. Dumlao (via Zoom), provided feedback and insights during the event.

The cascading will continue tomorrow, January 24, 2024, for the presentation of different Campus Executive Officers for their 2025 Targets along other priority areas based on the Strategic Plan 2023 – 2028.
