CSU HOSTS REGIONAL BUDGET FORUM FOR FY 2026

To discuss budget preparations and planning for Fiscal Year 2026, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), in partnership with Cagayan State University (CSU), conducted the regional 2026 Budget Call Forum on February 10, 2024, at the Claude Andrews Convention Center.

CSU OIC President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez expressed his appreciation to DBM for its efforts and guidance in formulating the FY 2026 budget for Cagayan Valley and emphasized the importance of aligning regional efforts with national strategies. "As we move forward with the FY 2026 budget, we must ensure that our proposals reflect the goals set forth in our Regional Development Plan and the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028," he said.

DBM Regional Office 2 Acting Director IV, Dir. Cherry W. Bravo, highlighted the role of the forum in improving budget preparations to ensure the efficient implementation of projects and alignment with national government priorities.

The forum covered updates on budget preparation forms and guidelines, submission requirements, budget preparation calendar, gender and development (GAD) planning and budgeting, as well as reminders from the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).

Meanwhile, the forum was attended by CSU Vice President for Finance and Administration Dr. Theresa Dimalanta, Campus Executive Officers, and representatives from 17 regional government offices.
