“At the top of Mt. Tabungao is the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
This CSU Grotto, as it is popularly known, was built in 1997-1998
through the concerted efforts of the Student Body Organization of the
then CSU Laboratory High School together with the faculty and staff
of CSU-Gonzaga under the administration of the Campus Dean, Dr. “Labor of Love”
Pedro Tugade. It was sculptured by the late Mr. Albert Calata who found Artwork by:
inspiration by patiently climbing the mountain every morning and would
