armest greetings to our Partners in Development. On behalf of LGU-Santa Ana, Cagayan allow me
to convey our congratulations in the publication of this book promoting CSU Gonzaga’s Research,
WDevelopment and Extension Projects.
We are likewise inspired and thankful in the successful promotion and progress of the project Establishment,
Restoration, Maintenance and Protection of NIPA Stands for Bioethanol Production and Climate Change
Mitigation considering the positive effects and benefits of Nipa which abounds in our municipality.
With your productive research studies, together, we must forge a closer partnership in this endeavour for the
welfare of mankind.
May God grant us all the perseverance, guidance and wisdom towards a better town, Province and Country

ellen Keller once said, “Be of good cheer. Do not think of today’s failures, but of the success that
may come tomorrow. You have set yourself a difficult task, but you will succeed if you persevere;
Hand you will find joy in overcoming obstacles.” As I look back to the years we are just starting our
projects and collaborations, I remember our hardships and struggles; our doubts and fears; our setbacks and
failures; and of course our triumph. Truly I can say that we- TESDA and CSU Gonzaga, created not only
noteworthy events, but also life changing ones. In 2018, CSU Gonzaga formally started opening its doors
to Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and became TESDA’s partner thru the forging of
a Memorandum of Agreement. Its kick-off program is becoming a Training and Assessment Center in Rice
Machineries Operation NC II Program. Now, it also has Organic Agricultural Production NC II, Agricultural
Crop Production NC II, Agricultural Crop Production NC III, Bookkeeping NC III, and a Diploma Program
in Agricultural Technology. We did not only try hard to get here, but literally tilled the ground to bring forth
fruits of what we have planted, the development of world-class workforce in this part of the country.
I am very proud of all of us for persisting even if it seems implausible! This book is a memoir of our hard work,
an evidence of our success together! Kudos to all of us!
Agyamanak kadakayu amin! I look forward to the upcoming years filled with new programs and projects we
will do together!
