he wide-range of Nipa Plantation situated at the Western Part of the Municipality of Aparri, Cagayan is one of the natural
resources which gives multi-dimensional benefit to the people of our town. Aside from its main use as a fundamental
Tmaterial to build houses, it also induces nipa wine and vinegar and has an exotic juicy fruit. This nipa plantation is a
treasure to every Aparriano because it gives living to them.

This year, we continued the venture of preserving the nipa plantation through the support of Cagayan State University Gonzaga.
We have implemented the project “Establishment, Restoration, Maintenance and Protection of Nipa Stands for Bioethanol
Production and Climate Change Mitigation to protect and maintain the natural reserve that we have and to produce various
products in their finest quality. This project became a stepping stone of the Local Government Unit to give the public-spirited
rights of the constituents living near the area the chance to uplift their living.

I congratulate CSU Gonzaga for leading the initiative of conserving, protecting, sustaining, and preserving the expansive area
of our nipa plantations in Aparri West. I, with the “Nagkakaisang Pulso ng Aparrianos” support your project “Establishment,
Restoration, Maintenance and Protection of Nipa Stands for Bioethanol Production and Climate Change Mitigation as an
avenue to develop and promote our local produce in order to uplift our economic condition. In behalf of the townspeople of
Aparri, I express my heartfelt gratitude and my invaluable commendation for a successful endeavor in pursuit for economic
development of our nation through sustainable management and utilization of natural resources.
