      Success a Lively Coastal Life

              Story which made living easier.
The CESTEEPH program passed on a light of hope for the San Jose Fisherfolk Association
(SJFA). The different livelihood projects brought them opportunities for additional income

The Association manages the Matara Beach Resort in San Jose, Gonzaga, Cagayan. With the
promising revenue of the said ecotourism site, the members of SJFA requested for the provision
of two units fishermen shed to Cagayan State University through the CESTEEPH Program. These
attracted tourists to come and enjoy the pristine view of the beach while building memories with
their loved ones. Thus, they earned income. “Dakkel a tulong para ti livelihood ti assosasyon mi nu

In addition, the association highly appreciated the free-range chicken production project. This project
was originally intended to divert the youth’s addiction to gadgets. However, it turned out to be a very
good source of living. The chicks awarded to 10 recipients from San Jose played a role during the
pandemic since they started laying eggs since March 2020. The eggs provided the recipients’ tables with
food and their pockets with cash as the excess pieces of eggs were sold at 10 pesos per piece. “Para
