CSU officials, coaches, and student athletes from all 8 campuses of Cagayan State University gathered at CSU Carig's Red Eagle Gymnasium for the Opening Program of the annual University Meet today, January 27, 2020.
With great emphasis on this year’s theme, "CSUans Winning as One”, University President Urdujah A. Tejada reminded the participants to exhibit camaraderie and sportsmanship in their respective sport. She also added that "may this University Meet harness unity among all the campuses of CSU”. On the other hand, Vice President for Academic Affairs Mariden V. Cauilan, in her welcome message, said that the event was part of attaining the vision of the University to create holistic individuals in order to become a world class institution. “We need to offer more than a degree, we must offer depth to your character” she added.
The Campus Executive Officers also proudly presented their delegations as each team chant their cheers and yells. The event also paved the way to the ceremonial lighting of torch and raising of banners, signaling the start of the University Meet.
