Cagayan State University formally commenced the week-long celebration of its 45th anniversary yesterday, June 6, 2023, with a motorcade around Tuguegarao City, marking the start of a series of activities scheduled until June 11, 2023.

The motorcade, which traversed around Tuguegarao City, was highlighted with decorated vehicles led by the university float representing the 9 campuses of the university and its 2 extension campuses. Three other floats joined the parade, combining the efforts of the campuses from the three districts of Cagayan were also highlighted during the parade. The College of Teacher Education also prepared a separate float for topnotchers which features the favorable result of the most recent Licensure Examination for Teachers.

After the motorcade, a mass was celebrated by Fr. Ranhilio C. Aquino. In his homily, he spoke about what a celebration of anniversary means. He mentioned that this celebration is about people, their dedication, their service, their perseverance, and resiliency. “An anniversary tells us where we came from. An anniversary makes us ask where we are now, and an anniversary makes us decide, in faith and courage, where we wish to go,” he emphasized.
